IT specialists are employed in companies in a great many different sectors, although mostly within IT firms. They plan, develop, configure, administer and analyse IT systems with the help of modern tools and techniques. IT specialists in systems integration implement customised information and communications solutions. To do this, they network hardware and software components to form complex systems. Effective immediately, we are looking for an apprentice as IT specialist for system integration!

Your apprenticeship

Your apprenticeship starts with us on 1st August. On the induction day, we will inform you about all organisational matters that you will need to follow during your apprenticeship at our company. On this day you will get to know both all our apprentices and your first colleagues.

You will get involved in the day-to-day work on the following days. You will work together with different colleagues in our IT department, who will pass on the content of the apprenticeship to you in practice and are always willing to listen to you. You will also spend a few weeks working in our :

  • Production
  • Shipping
  • Purchasing
  • Financial accounting departments

This will provide you with the opportunity to look outside the box and familiarise yourself with different areas of the company.

Alongside your apprenticeship at the company, you will also attend Brühlwiesen school in Hofheim that is about a 15 minute drive from our company’s premises. Our apprentices attend vocational school in full-time blocks. This means that the theory and practical phases of your apprenticeship are separate and that you are able to concentrate fully on the theoretic content during the phase in education.

Graduation

To be accepted for the apprenticeship, you require a secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss), preferably with good grades in mathematics, German, physics and English.

At Hilscher, the application process includes a review of your complete application, an interview and a recruitment test. The job interview gives us the chance to get to know you personally. Of course, the meeting will also give you the opportunity to get to know us and the general basic conditions of the apprenticeship. In the final step, we'll test your knowledge in the subjects, math, German, English and business administration.
