Other providers, who obtain hardware and software from different sources, cannot do this. Does a protocol stack from manufacturer A work on a communication processor from manufacturer B? Different formats and protocols – one platform

The netX communication controllers are our core technology and the basis for almost all of our products. The difference to other communication solutions is that netX can handle all common industrial protocols with one piece of hardware. All you have to do is select the protocol stack that suits your application from our portfolio and load it onto the netX hardware or you can have the entire software package preloaded by us.

The API, drivers and configuration tools are always identical, regardless of whether you integrate the chip directly, use an embedded module or a PC card.

This means that you only need to familiarize yourself with the netX technology once and can then handle different standards in no time at all, depending on the application and requirements. As the industry's partner for all communication issues, we naturally also guarantee that netX is future-proof, e.g. through new chip technologies and the implementation of standards such as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) and new Gigabit solutions.

Migration path already established

A popular approach for our customers is to start a project with a low level of integration in order to familiarize themselves with our technology. Subsequently, more complex applications such as chip integration into a customer solution are no longer a problem, as the interfaces and tools are already familiar to you.

For example, you can start with an easy-to-integrate cifX PC card from our portfolio and familiarize yourself with the netX technology installed on it. Switching to an embedded module or a netX SoC directly integrated into your device, for example to reduce costs or cover other applications, is then particularly easy.
