DIL-32 Communication IC

netIC is the ideal slave solution for simple field devices with a low data throughput. These include, for example, barcode readers, identification systems, valve islands and input/output modules that require a connection to a fieldbus or Real-Time Ethernet system. netIC contains all the components of a fieldbus or RTE interface with an integrated 2-port switch and hub. As a communication IC in the DIL-32 standard format, the module reduces integration into the customer’s hardware to a minimum.

Data is transferred by means of the conventional shift register if a design is implemented without a host processor. Otherwise the module transmits data from the host processor using the commonly available Modbus RTU protocol, for which the UART and SPI serial interfaces are available. Since netIC, as a single chip module, is based on our netX technology, we offer a 10-year delivery guarantee. netIC contains all the components of a fieldbus or Real-Time Ethernet interface with integrated 2-port switch and hub. Commissioning and configuration can be carried out quickly and easily on site with an intuitive configuration tool.
