Hattersheim, 14. Nov. 2022 – The management team at Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation mbH has been reinforced with the addition of Oliver Paffenholz as Hilscher’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Paffenholz will be responsible for the industrial communications specialist’s commercial business, which includes purchasing, finance, the Integrated Management System (IMS) and Human Resources (HR).
“I’m looking forward to my new responsibilities as CFO at Hilscher, and in particular, to all the creative possibilities offered in such an innovative and forward-thinking company such as Hilscher. I’m convinced that all the experience I bring with me from my previous positions will be a great asset in contributing to the continued strong growth of the Hilscher Group,” explained Paffenholz. He has already taken over responsibility for Hilscher's financial affairs in July.
But the experienced strategy and finance expert also sees other exciting possibilities in addition to the purely business side of things. It’s not only a question of maximizing potential in the company through the optimization of processes both internally and externally with customers and partner companies, but it’s also about fostering development opportunities to the company’s own employees. “One of the most important points is to give employees the chance to develop, to motivate them and give them the opportunity to attain new skills,” explains Paffenholz. Open, honest and constructive communication at all levels is the key.
The 42-year-old graduate in business administration can draw on a wealth of experience. He got an early start to his professional career as a student at ABB, a world-leading technology group, where he also held several positions in commercial and process-oriented management at home and abroad. Most recently, Oliver Paffenholz was responsible for the business area “Motion” at ABB as a functional controller with global responsibility.
