About the apprenticeship

Training in industrial business management takes 3 years. You will attend vocational school alongside your apprenticeship that will prepare you for your interim and final written examination. You will attend the Konrad-Adenauer school in Kriftel (approx. 15 minutes by car from the company building). You have the opportunity to shorten the duration of your apprenticeship by getting good grades in school, as well as a good evaluation at work.

In the course of your training you will gain experience in multiple departments where you will learn how to:

  • prepare quotes (process inquiries, advise customers and prepare quotes taking into account delivery and payment terms as well as the customer credit rating) (Sales Operations)
  • enter orders and provide and obtain information, even in a foreign language (Customer Center)
  • process business transactions for accounting (Financial Accounting)
  • accept, review and document products and services; obtain, review and compare offers and prepare, execute and follow up on orders with suppliers (Purchasing)
  • set goals, priorities and scheduling for tasks, e.g., planning, coordinating and monitoring customer-specific items and deadlines; planning and processing tasks in a team; coordinating and evaluating results (Product Management)
  • Create social media posts, edit images, write texts, help with trade fair preparations (Marketing)

When your apprenticeship starts

Your apprenticeship will start on August 1. You'll get to know the other trainees at the traditional “trainee lunch”, where you'll also receive all the organizational information you’ll need to know for your time with us. Of course, you’ll also get to know the team from your first training station.

What your typical day of training will look like

Your training will consist of a combination of theory and practice: At school, you’ll learn the theoretical background knowledge you need for your profession and for the IHK final examination. In the practice portion of your training, you’ll support your department in all job-related tasks (except making coffee).

You’ll also gain valuable insights into the industry in general at our trade fairs, and you’ll have the opportunity at trainee fairs to share with others the benefits of your apprenticeship with us.
During the final months of your apprenticeship, you'll be placed in your specialist department. This is where you’ll consolidate your knowledge, work independently on projects and thoroughly prepare for your final oral exam. In most cases, the specialist department is the department in which our apprentices would like to work after completing their apprenticeship. But we’ll work together with you in choosing the specialist department that’s right for you.

Graduation

To be accepted for the apprenticeship, you require a secondary school certificate (Realschulabschluss), preferably with good grades in mathematics, German, physics and English.

Interest

As an aspiring industrial business manager, you must have a general interest in all specialized departments. An interest in the latest technology in the field of industrial communication is also expected.

Together

Personal responsibility, teamwork, reliability and meticulousness are fundamental characteristics of all our young trainees. You're motivated to take on new challenges and take pride in helping to find and work towards solutions.

Attractive working conditions

We offer a stable apprenticeship with attractive pay and excellent chances of being hired at the conclusion of your apprenticeship. You’ll also receive 30 vacation days and a 13th salary as a bonus.

Corporate benefits

You’ll get employee discounts on a number of brands and at several stores, a subsidized lunch, free parking and fresh fruit in our office every day.

Desirable location

We’re located in the Rhine-Main region, one of Germany’s most dynamic economic centers, with the financial metropolis of Frankfurt and its international airport right on our doorstep. Our locations can be reached by public transportation.
