Under the general trend of digitalization, informatization and intelligent manufacturing, the demand for predictive maintenance and big data analysis is increasing in the manufacturing field, and the importance of workshop equipment data collection is becoming more and more prominent. The Open Edge Cloud Gateway product launched by Hilscher is an intelligent edge connection device based on multi-protocol chip research and development, and Scapeak's self-developed data collection software MDC.OPCUA.SERVER, which is encapsulated and integrated in the edge gateway through Docker, thus realizing the intelligent production way of collecting CNC data and managing it in the cloud.
This article describes the programming system MULTIPROG from KW-Software, which complies with the IEC 61131 standard and provides a fully integrated solution for programming, communication and configuration of equipment from different manufacturers by means of soft PLC controllers with integrated PROFIBUS-DP master interfaces based on the cifX series of computer communication boards from Hilscher.
