Hilscher offers conformity tests for PROFINET IO-Devices, EtherNet/IP Adapters, and EtherCAT Slaves in accordance with the official specifications of the respective user organizations.
For PROFINET IO-Device pre-certifications, two tests are available:
- RT-test according to conformance class B (CC-B)
- IRT-test according to conformance class C (CC-C)
These tests help customers check the certification readiness of their devices or components. Potential issues and incompatibilities can be identified and resolved at an early stage. This accelerates the certification process and, consequently, the market launch, as the risk of failing the official certification is mitigated.
After completing the test, customers receive a detailed test report that transparently documents all results.
Additionally, a one-hour online meeting for error analysis is included with each pre-certification. The report provides suggestions for resolving other potential issues, enabling customers to identify potential weaknesses and optimize the quality of their devices.
Hilscher can oversee the official certification process at an accredited test laboratory upon request. From the shipment of the device to the registration, communication with the laboratory, and responding to any potential inquiries, Hilscher handles all the necessary steps. This service can be booked separately.
Extended support is available if the pre-certification test is not passed. In this case, customers can order additional support services and a partial retest.
