With the detached network interface AIFX-RE\M12, Hilscher extends its PC card technology cifX with an M12 connection...and is voted Product of the Year 2021 in the category 'Communication & Networking' by the readers of the Computer & Automation magazine.

HATTERSHEIM, 04/27/2021 - More than 6,100 readers had casted 50,000 votes for Computer & Automation's Product of the Year, and in the ’Communication & Networking’ category this year's winner was the AIFX-RE\M12 by Hilscher!

With the AIFX-RE\M12, the family-owned company from Hattersheim near Frankfurt is expanding its cifX PC card portfolio with a detached M12 network interface, which is especially suitable for harsh industrial environments. Thanks to the possibility to implement own LED concepts, protection classes up to IP67 can be realized.

In addition to twelve different Real-Time Ethernet protocols, cifX users can flexibly match the type of connectors specifically to their application and their industrial communication network. The exchange is very simple via Plug & Play, the RJ45 interface in question can be exchanged for a D-coded M12 interface by adapting the housing.

Regardless of the connection technology, Hilscher's platform strategy allows all existing components, such as drivers, firmware and configuration, to remain unaffected.
