One of the key elements in developing applications for various industrial networks is the ability to integrate software solutions seamlessly. The netX family platform concept complements with a rich set of software features that puts great emphasis on the interaction between hardware and software. From application point of view, the individual use cases for the different netX derivatives are grouped into three main categories.
Loadable Firmware (LFW) is offered as pre-certified software protocol stack for all major real-time control communication standards. The netX device operates as companion chip with host interface where the software is treated as black box. The API/C-Toolkit for the host application is available as free software library.
Linkable Object Module (LOM) is offered as pre-certified software protocol stack for all major real-time control communication standards. The network communication and customer application run on the netX device. The lineup of available NXHX software development boards enables customers to start application designs quickly.
The software ecosystem for the netX family includes a feature rich infrastructure consisting of a complete set of protocol stacks, drivers, BSPs, toolkits and development platforms for programmable logic controller (PLC), software visualization, and many more.
