We are looking for you to join us on 1 January 2027, as our Head of Global Product Management (m/f/d).

In this key position, you will be responsible for the strategic and commercial direction of our global product portfolio. You will not only be a leader and decision-maker, but also a team player and a trusted partner who connects people across functions and countries.

You bring together market requirements, technological developments, and commercial objectives, set clear priorities, and work with your team and key stakeholders to strategically advance our global Product Management organization.

Because for us, success isn’t about putting as many products as possible on the roadmap – it’s about putting the right ones there.

Leadership & Organisation

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the assigned department heads.
  • Lead through clear objectives, responsibilities, KPIs, and defined decision-making authority.
  • Coach and develop leaders to strengthen their capabilities and effectiveness.
  • Delegate responsibility consistently while maintaining a clear strategic perspective.
  • Drive effective performance management and provide regular feedback.
  • Build and further develop a strong global Product Management leadership team.
  • Foster talent development and succession planning.
  • Continuously evolve the organization, processes, and responsibilities.

Strategy & Portfolio

  • Develop and implement our global product and portfolio strategy.
  • Define relevant product areas, markets, and applications.
  • Take ownership of the global product roadmap – with clear priorities.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities, technologies, and business models.
  • Prioritize development investments and resources.
  • Actively manage and evolve the product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle.
  • Prepare investment, portfolio consolidation, and product phase-out decisions.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely and collaboratively with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Establish clear interfaces, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
  • Manage cross-functional priorities and resource conflicts with a focus on overall company success.
  • Establish regular portfolio and performance reviews.
  • Ensure transparent communication of strategy, roadmaps, and portfolio decisions.
  • Prepare strategic decisions for the Executive Management team.

Business & Performance

  • Evaluate the portfolio based on revenue, margin, growth, market potential, and strategic relevance.
  • Develop and assess robust business cases.
  • Initiate new products and product generations.
  • Continuously manage product performance and profitability.
  • Consistently balance market potential, technological feasibility, and commercial viability.

Market & Go-to-Market

  • Analyze markets, competitors, customer requirements, and technology trends.
  • Translate market and customer needs into product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Define product positioning, value propositions, and pricing.
  • Drive global product launches in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Continuously evolve our go-to-market approaches.
  • Focus on shorter time-to-market and sustainable product success.

What You Bring – Professional Expertise

  • A university degree in a technical or techno-commercial field, such as Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Several years of experience in international product management within a technology-driven B2B company.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing managers.
  • Strong expertise in product strategy, portfolio management, roadmap management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience with business cases, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • A solid understanding of revenue, margin, and profitability metrics.
  • A strong understanding of cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support.
  • Experience in automation, industrial communication, embedded systems, or comparable technology markets is an advantage.
  • Additional qualifications in business administration or management are a plus.
  • Excellent German and English language skills.
