Implement IIoT applications with diagnostic data from PROFINET devices

The platform-independent netFIELD App PROFINET Diagnosis container app enables the provision of diagnosis data from devices and components in PROFINET networks. The app can scan existing devices and periodically read out the diagnosis data from the devices. The standard PROFINET protocol is used so that no manufacturer-specific tools are needed.

The analysis of diagnosis data from PROFINET devices enables continuous monitoring of the machine status. This allows both gradual and sudden deterioration of individual components to be detected and maintenance measures to be initiated. Errors are detected in good time and unplanned downtime is avoided. Predictive maintenance can be implemented easily and with little effort.

The netFIELD App PROFINET Diagnosis periodically retrieves data from the devices and provides the retrieved data via the MQTT protocol. MQTT is an easy-to-use IoT protocol that is very popular with developers.

The app provides a convenient web interface for configuration. The user can configure from which devices the diagnostic data is to be retrieved.

Under the netFIELD brand, Hilscher also offers additional communication apps, edge gateways, and a cloud-based remote management solution for the devices and containers.
