Shape the future with us – as a System Architect – Communication Products (m/f/d) with strong technical vision

Do you want to go beyond implementation and actively shape solutions? With us, you will accompany the entire development process of our embedded modules, network interface cards and protocol gateways – from the initial idea through to successful delivery. Together with Product Management, you will develop solutions that truly make an impact, always keeping the overall system in mind.

As a System Architect, you assume technical responsibility for complex systems consisting of hardware, firmware, configuration tools, device drivers and documentation, and you bring your expertise to where it makes the real difference. You think in holistic systems, processes and solutions – and you actively shape them instead of merely working through requirements.

  • Act as a technical and system-level sparring partner for Product Management in the area of Communication Products (embedded modules, network interface cards, protocol gateways)
     
  • Develop and document holistic system architectures for industrial communication products, with a strong focus on usability, cyber security and new gigabit technologies
     
  • Shape the planning, definition and high-level design of technical solutions together with Product Owners, taking business and economic constraints into account
     
  • Analyse and evaluate customer and product requirements with regard to feasibility, effort and risks, in close collaboration with Product Management
     
  • Define solution concepts and non-functional requirements (NFRs)
     
  • Advise all product-related development teams across functions on architectural topics and on the interaction of SoC, hardware, firmware, software and cloud components
     
  • Conduct architecture reviews, create gap analyses and derive concrete development requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
     
  • Several years of experience in system architecture for embedded systems and industrial communication
     
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on quality
     
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary / cross-functional teams and stakeholders
     
  • In-depth knowledge of horizontal industrial communication; experience with vertical communication and Industrial IoT is a plus
     
  • Experience with ARM-based SoCs, RTOS and safety-critical applications is an advantage
