Turn your installed base into a competitive advantage. netFIELD enables secure remote services, predictive maintenance, and fleet-wide updates—helping machine builders manage thousands of machines with the same effort as the first ten.

Remote Industrial Device Management

Secure and efficient management for your connected machines

Machine builders and OEMs face increasing pressure to deliver smart, connected machines with remote support capabilities. Managing a growing installed base of machines across multiple locations requires secure infrastructure, efficient software deployment, and compliance with cybersecurity regulations. The complexity and costs of building and maintaining such infrastructure can be overwhelming. Our netFIELD Device Management platform provides you with a turnkey solution that enables you to focus on your core competencies while we handle the infrastructure.

Whether you need remote access to machines, centralized software rollouts, or compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act: netFIELD Device Management opens up new possibilities for smart machine services and efficient fleet management.

Challenges for machine builders and OEMs

High effort to maintain large installed base

As your installed base grows, managing machines across multiple locations becomes increasingly complex and time-consuming. Traditional manual management approaches don't scale. You need a centralized solution that allows you to manage all your machines via a single system without physical presence, reducing maintenance costs and increasing operational efficiency.

Cybersecurity and regulatory compliance

The EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and other regulations require machine builders to implement secure infrastructure and maintain devices throughout their lifecycle. Meeting these requirements demands security built into the platform from day one, including secure boot, firmware updates, and encrypted communication channels. You need a solution that helps you fulfill regulatory requirements with confidence.

Building infrastructure vs. delivering services

Developing your own device management infrastructure requires significant investment in engineering resources, time, and ongoing maintenance. This diverts focus from your core competencies: building great machines and innovative smart services. You need a ready-to-use platform that provides immediate infrastructure without development costs.

Remote access and support efficiency

Service teams need fast, secure access to machines in the field to diagnose issues and provide support. Travel costs and response times impact both customer satisfaction and your bottom line. You need convenient, one-click remote access that reduces response times while maintaining security standards.

Good to Know

What makes netFIELD Device Management ready for the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)?

netFIELD provides security by design with built-in features for regulatory compliance. Our platform supports OTA firmware updates, encrypted communication channels (TLS/SSL), and integrity checks. The infrastructure is designed to meet requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act, IEC 62443, and NIS-2 standards, helping you protect machines, data, and digital services while reducing compliance risks.

How does centralized software rollout work?

Machine manufacturers can easily deploy their software across machines and devices using containerized applications through the centralized netFIELD platform. This streamlines software deployment with minimal engineering effort, ensures consistency across the installed base, and lowers infrastructure costs. The rollout process is transparent and can be scheduled flexibly for individual devices or entire fleets.

Can I use netFIELD with my existing edge hardware?

Yes. While we offer our own industry-hardened edge gateways optimized for netFIELD, the platform also works with third-party devices. This flexibility prevents vendor lock-in and allows you to use existing infrastructure or choose hardware that best fits your specific requirements. Please get in contact with us, if you want to use netFIELD with your own edge hardware.

How does remote access work securely?

netFIELD provides convenient one-click remote access to machines at the push of a button. Access is based on secure infrastructure with encrypted connections. You can define remote access profiles once and apply them across multiple machines, eliminating repetitive setup processes. This simplifies remote machine access with minimal configuration effort while maintaining high security standards.

Can I start with a small installation and scale later?

Absolutely. netFIELD is designed to scale without limits. You can start with our free account for up to two machines to evaluate the platform at zero cost and implement your proof of concept. Then smoothly transition from pilot projects to full-scale series production, with the ability to expand across different machine types, divisions, and hierarchical structures – all without operational headaches.
