The family-owned company Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation mbH was founded in 1986 by Hans-Jürgen Hilscher in Germany and is now led by Sebastian Hilscher in its second generation. Our netX-based communication module, comX, has been adopted in many industrial communication sites in Japan. It has been highly evaluated for its simple circuit board, common design, and support for industrial multi-protocols compared to conventional industrial communication controllers.
Our customer, a developer of robotics, wanted a controller development solution that could be implemented using Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus, with a common communication interface for both master and slave. Hilscher Japan was able to incorporate these requirements into the comX solution and meet the customer's expectations.
Yokogawa Electric Corporation, a leading company in Distributed Control Systems, has implemented S2 redundancy for their PROFINET Communication Module by adopting Hilscher’s comX embedded module, thereby improving the availability of plants.
