Dissertations and Bachelor and Master theses

We offer students the opportunity to complete their thesis within a business setting. The support from experienced colleagues and an exciting practical environment are guaranteed.

The subjects we offer to students are from industrial communication technology. There are opportunities to add new features to extend an existing product, integration of a technology into our product range or to examine new technologies. Mentoring professors are happy to see the subjects – they are varied and innovative and offer the opportunity for new ideas.

We offer theses and dissertations in hardware design, embedded systems, OS/Drivers/Tools and web front- and backend. There is the opportunity to combine the compulsory job experience placement required by the teaching institute with the thesis.

Internship

We offer students in their second semester the opportunity to start their careers as an intern at Hilscher. Interns work a maximum of 20 hours alongside their studies during the semester. The limit is lifted during the lecture-free period. Up to 40 hours per week are possible.

Interns at our company get involved in exciting projects, appropriate to their skills and prior knowledge. We therefore offer the opportunity to gain initial professional experience.

Job experience

To get a first taste of professional life and get to know the company and gain initial experience, we offer students the opportunity to complete a period of job experience. There are the following opportunities within our company:

  • Pre-study job experience
  • Compulsory job experience
  • Voluntary job experience
  • Job experience semesters

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for outgoing, bright individuals with a thirst for knowledge, who count the ability to take responsibility, to work well as part of a team, reliability, attention to detail among their personal qualities. You should enjoy new challenges and meet them with motivation, be happy to have a laugh and tackle work with enthusiasm.

Do you fancy an exciting challenge?

Then take the first step towards a promising future. At Hilscher, you can apply for and start a work experience placement, your thesis or an internship at any time. There are various restrictions on entry for a combined work and study degree course, but do not let that stop you!

Email your application to our contact in the HR department. We will clarify all further details in subsequent discussions.

For us, an informative application will include a covering letter, CV, school certificates (‘A’ levels or higher education entrance qualification), and if available, an extract from your grades from your studies.

You should also detail what form of job experience placement, thesis or internship you are applying for in your covering letter. In addition, you can also mention if one of the aforesaid areas of work appeals to you, whether you are interested in it, or even have any prior knowledge. Have you have already even had the opportunity to gain relevant experience and undertake private projects in a technical discipline? Then tell us about it. You may bring along any relevant assemblies, circuits or apps you have developed along with you to the interview.

We look forward to receiving your application.
