From the office world to the sensor/actor level, today an industrial plant is traversed by several various communication networks. We are far away from a totally vertically integrated network that is used consistently on all levels in reality. Too different are the requirements concerning the amount of data and data speed. The result: many protocols were establishing during the time in the different segments. By its very nature this heterogeneous mixture requires handing over data across network protocol boundaries. Our netTAP protocol converters can exchange data using different network protocols to eliminate potential barriers in the network infrastructure.
