NT - netTAP
The universal fieldbus Gateway
netTap - Protocolconverter for automation
Industrial plants today, from the office level to the sensor/actuator level are controlled by the most varied communication networks. We are far removed from the reality of the vertical integration of a unified network that extends over all levels The requirements of data supply and data speed are too different. The result: Over the course of time numerous protocols have established themselves in the individual segments. Also the data transfer in a plant, in their heterogeneous quantity, over protocol borders are unavoidable and pave the way for the netTAP protocol converter.
Provides seamless transitions and ensures transparency
netTAP converts two protocols simply and efficiently into one. Whether it's a simple serial bus, a classic Fieldbus or one of the new real-time Ethernet protocols, netTAP provides a common platform for a transparent conversion of any  industrial automation protocol. netTAP facilitates communication within the system. This saves on investment costs as well as on running  and maintenance costs.
Retains tried and tested equipment range
netTAP enables the user to integrate existing simple serial or Fieldbus devices into any network without the need for change and to modernise plants which stipulate the use of Fieldbus or real-time Ethernet at no extra cost. Resource-intensive, costly and sometimes even impossible redevelopment of outdated equipment is now no longer necessary.
minimizes start-up time
netTAP can be configured and diagnosed efficiently using a universal and vendor-neutral configuration interface. The protocols are pre-programmed and preloaded. The cost of the project is limited to setting the network operating parameters and allocating the data to use both protocols. A conversion is functional and operational in a few minutes.
