SERCOS Monitor for Windows® NT/2000/XP

The SERCOS Monitor supports observation of data transmissions in SERCOS systems. For this purpose, it is inserted into the fiber optic ring as the last node preceding the controller (SERCOS master). In this way positioned, the telegrams of all nodes can be recorded and evaluated.

SERCOS Monitor is based on Windows® 95/98/NT and provides an intuitive userfriendly interface with comfortable dialog boxes. Preselected command and feedback values, diag-nostic and parameter information as well as limit values and configuration data can be displayed in different windows.

In a SERCOS ring, drives and I/O devices of different manufacturers with different qualities can be found. SERCOS Monitor is able to detect the current ring configuration automatically during system initialization and to save the configuration in a file. The configuration includes all SERCOSspecific communication parameters and forms the basis for further settings and evaluations.

Based on the current configuration, the recording of data transmission is ready to start. Already during recording, cyclic or non-cyclic data can be represented on the screen. Recording stops at user interac-tion or upon arriving at a trigger adjusted before. Different display windows are available for evaluation of the recorded data.

With the SERCOS monitor the SERCOS database is supplied.
